My name is Laila Moustafa, and I am a doctoral candidate at Dominican University. I would like to invite decision makers in academic library in the USA to participate in a semi-structured interview for my study titled “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Library Data Policy: A Grounded Assessment of Privacy.“ This research explores how academic library decision-makers approach user data privacy in the context of adopting AI tools in their library. Your insights and experiences would be immensely valuable and significantly contribute to the successful completion of my doctoral dissertation.
Interview Details:
- Duration: Approximately takes 30-40 minutes via ZOOM.
- Focus: The impact of library user privacy policies on the decision to adopt AI tools in academic libraries
- Confidentiality: Your participation will remain anonymous, and all data will be securely stored and anonymized.
You are eligible to participate in the interview if
- You are 18 years of age or older
- You are employed in an academic library in the United States (definition)
- You hold a decision-making position, such as library director, director of libraries, university librarian, head of a library, associate dean, manager of academic libraries, or another role involving significant decision-making responsibilities (definition)
- Your library plans to implement or has already implemented AI tools for its users.
