(via Anne Craig, CARLI Senior Director)
You are invited to participate in a survey, open through February 29, 2024, which is part of the project Libraries as Partners for Emergency Preparedness and Response in Times of Crisis, a grant project funded through the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) National Leadership Grants for Libraries program, awarded to the Illinois Fire Service Institute with the University of Illinois iSchool and CARLI as partners.
This project investigates how libraries of all types can partner with emergency response groups (fire, EMS, local health, etc.) during community-wide emergencies from natural disasters such as severe weather or flooding, to public health crises, gun violence, and others. Our survey targets Illinois libraries to form an initial understanding of library partnerships during emergencies, and your response will help increase our knowledge of libraries’ role during emergencies and the safety and resiliency of the communities and emergency responders that libraries serve.
Access the survey here.
Please forward this message to other librarians and library staff, as we welcome multiple respondents from the same library or if you are not the correct person to contact about this issue. We ask that respondents fully complete the survey.
