(via Kimberly Grotewold, PhD candidate at University of North Texas)
My name is Kimberly Grotewold, and I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Learning Technologies at the University of North Texas. I am part of a research team seeking participants for our study: Ethical Choices with Educational Technology for Artificial Intelligence: Evaluation of the Instrument with Instructors (UNT IRB-23-665). We are now recruiting for our second phase of the study which involves an activity-based survey. The purpose of the study is to evaluate the use of ECET AI, a framework and set of questions developed to assist faculty with deciding whether to integrate AI technologies into their teaching practices.
Study participation is expected to take 30-60 minutes and includes evaluating an AI application and use case of your choice using our framework. If you choose to participate, you will input your responses into a survey with checkboxes, multiple-choice questions, and open-ended items. Participation is voluntary and participants can discontinue their involvement without penalty at any time. There is no compensation for taking part. You are welcome to email me at kimberlygrotewold@my.unt.edu with questions.
We appreciate your help. My team is eager to move forward with this work!
