We’re conducting a study to investigate the information-related experiences of people who have experienced long COVID. Our goal for conducting this study is to learn how we can improve people’s information-related experiences during future pandemics, epidemics, and personal health crises.
We are currently looking for pilot study participants to help us with testing before we launch our study. If you are at least 18 years old, have lived in the continental U.S. or in a U.S. territory continuously since January 2020, have experienced long COVID, and have looked for COVID-related information during the past year, you are eligible to participate in our pilot study.
If you agree to participate in our pilot study, you will be asked to complete a 20- to 30-minute online survey, followed by a 1.5-hour interview over Zoom. With your consent, we will record the interview (audio-only or with video, depending on your preference). You may still participate if you do not wish to be recorded. The survey and interview questions focus on your experiences with COVID and long COVID, particularly around your information needs and seeking.
The pilot study will take approximately 2 hours. We are offering a $50 Tango digital gift card (for more information, see here) to thank you for your time and your help with finalizing our survey and interview questions.
If you are interested in participating in our pilot study, please fill out this brief pre-survey to help us ensure a diverse participant pool–it should take less than 5 minutes to complete.
We will be in touch soon if you are selected. Please be sure to let us know at that point if we can provide any accommodations during this process.
