I am conducting a survey titled “Librarian Preferences and Strategies: Abstracting and Indexing Databases vs. General Discovery Services” and would greatly appreciate your participation. This survey aims to explore the efficacy of abstracting and indexing databases compared to general discovery services (e.g., Google Scholar, Quick Search on the library website, Web of Science, PubMed, Scopus, OpenAlex), and to investigate resource prioritization strategies amid budget constraints. The survey is targeted towards librarians in academic libraries.
The survey will take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete, and all responses will remain completely anonymous. You can access the survey here. It will be open from Wednesday, July 10, 2024, to Friday, August 9, 2024.
