We would like to invite you to be part of our research project about autistic and occupational burnout among academic library workers (USF IRB study #STUDY007840). The purpose of the research is to find out how autistic and occupational burnout are related and to examine how that relationship is impacted by masking and camouflaging autistic traits.
To participate, you should be autistic (professional diagnosis is not required) and currently employed in an academic library (a librarian role/title is not required).
If you participate, you will complete a survey with 71 questions about autistic burnout, occupational burnout, and camouflaging autistic traits. The survey also includes four demographic questions, regarding gender, gender modality, sexuality, and race. The beginning of the survey includes three questions to obtain consent and confirm your eligibility to participate, and the end of the survey includes two questions about your interest in a follow-up interview.
It will take approximately 15 minutes to complete the survey, and all of the questions are multiple choice.
The survey will close on Friday, December 20, 2024.
Participation is voluntary, but we hope you will choose to be part of this project!
Access the survey here.
