If you are a tenure-track librarian at an academic library in the United States, you are invited to participate in a survey titled “Tenure & Covid-19 Impact Survey”. This study is being conducted by Kimberly Plassche, Carolyn Klotzbach-Russell, and Amanda McCormick at the University at Buffalo Libraries. The purpose of this research activity is to examine the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on tenure-track librarians at academic libraries in the United States. Specifically, we intend to gather data related to changes in institutional monetary support for conference attendance and travel, tenure clock stoppage options, the usefulness of virtual conferences, alterations to daily duties and challenges working from home.
Participants are invited to complete a survey consisting of multiple choice and open-ended questions related to your experience as a tenure-track librarian since March, 2020. The survey will take about 15 minutes. You will not be paid/compensated for your participation in this study.
The survey will be open until Friday, April 9. To read the study details and complete the survey, please follow this link.
