Thank you to everyone who has participated in my survey thus far! If you haven’t yet, I would like to invite you to consider participating in a short survey that focuses on the leadership emergence of librarians and archivists. Librarians and archivists share many professional values, priorities, and education. However, research has shown there are individual differences relating to these two groups’ personality traits. Considering that libraries and archives are allied institutions, they often exist together in a larger organizational structure and may end up working alongside one another. The purpose of this study is to learn more about how librarians and archivists approach the idea of leadership and what types of support they have received to pursue leadership roles.
Anyone over the age of 18 who identifies as a librarian and/or archivist is eligible to participate. If you decide to participate, you will be asked to answer approximately 50 questions, which should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. The informed consent and survey are available here.
Please do not put any information in your response that could be used to identify you.
The survey will be live until Friday, December 15, 2023. If you have any questions, please contact the Principal Investigator, Dr. Ashley Todd-Diaz (atodddiaz@towson.edu).
Thank you in advance for considering,
Dr. Ashley Todd-Diaz, Towson University, Principal Investigator
