I’m Bethany McGowan, an Associate Professor and health sciences librarian at Purdue University Libraries and School of Information Studies. I am conducting an anonymous survey about librarian preferences for learning to create culturally relevant health literacy interventions. This study has been approved by Purdue University’s Institutional Review Board as IRB-2022-1518 -Understanding Factors That Would Influence Librarian Engagement in a Health Literacy Intervention Training for Diverse Audiences.
To participate in this study, you must be 18 years or older. The survey is entirely voluntary. You can choose to complete the survey and may choose to stop the survey and leave the study at any time. The survey will take 10 minutes to complete. All responses will be anonymous, and only aggregate results will be shared when the results have been compiled and analyzed. There are no known risks involved in this research.
There is no compensation for participating in this study. However, your participation will be a valuable addition to library research. Findings could lead to a greater understanding of how professional development opportunities related to the design of inclusive health information interventions reflect the needs and preferences of librarians and information studies scholars.
