The ACRL Science and Technology Section’s Scholarly Communication Committee is seeking three speakers for an online presentation on Wednesday, June 26, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM CDT. The presentation will highlight research and projects about the implications and applications of artificial intelligence (AI) on science and technology scholarly communications.
Presentation topics can include but are not limited to:
- How open content feeds into Large Language Models – is this a good or a bad thing, and how should we be talking about this with faculty?
- Ethical and sustainable use of generative artificial intelligence technologies
- AI in peer review and content production, including editorial policies
- AI and academic research outputs
- AI and plagiarism detection tools
If you are interested in presenting one of the above topics in a 15-minute time frame, please submit your proposal (no more than 250 words) to this form by Friday, April 26. Please contact the Committee Co-Chairs (see below) if you have trouble accessing the form.
