Mark your calendars! The 21st annual Northwest Interlibrary Loan & Resource Sharing Conference will be online September 8 (Thursday), 14 (Wednesday), and 16 (Friday), with virtual workshops on Friday, September 9.
Bobbi Newman from the University of Iowa and the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM) will be the 2022 NWILL keynote. She will be discussing topics from her forthcoming publication from ALA titled Fostering Wellness in the Workplace. You can also follow her at her blog, Librarian by Day.

Call for Programming
The NWILL Conference Committee invites proposals for the following session formats.
- Lightning Rounds: 7-10 minutes, pre-recorded
- Presentations: 45 minutes, live
- Panels: 45 minutes, live
- Workshops: 90-120 minutes, live
The NWILL Conference Planning Committee encourages submissions from all types of libraries, especially libraries that have been underrepresented at our past Conferences, e.g., government, prison, tribal, military, public, K-12. We also welcome proposals from other fields and aim to benefit from a multidisciplinary perspective.
The NWILL Planning Committee also encourages individuals from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds, identities, and communities to submit proposals. We truly want the Conference to be as representative of our profession as possible.
The following topics (in alphabetical order) are of interest to the Program Committee and have been requested by previous attendees. We welcome proposals on other topics as well:
- Budget challenges and logistics
- Controlled Digital Lending
- Copyright
- Cross-institutional partnerships and relationships
- Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility
- ILL for non-ILL employees
- Life-work balance
- Next generation ILL
- Employee shortages and turnover
Presenters and co-presenters receive free registration to the conference.
We respectfully ask that all presentations be in English.
Session proposals from an organization or company, or their representatives, about their product (e.g., vendors, steering committee members) will not be considered. If you represent an organization or company interested in promoting your product, please contact our Vendor Relations Committee, at nwillconf@gmail.com, to get more information about vendor and exhibitor opportunities. Proposals submitted by practitioners wishing to present on a product they are not professionally affiliated with is acceptable.
