The 2024 SLA (Special Libraries Association) Midwest Symposium will take place on Friday, June 7, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM CDT. This year, the planning committee is looking for proposals on a wide variety of topics related to specialized libraries including, but not limited to, the following ones.
-Case studies in data
-Practical uses for library data
-Data visualizations
-Special libraries & artificial intelligence
-Taxonomy & knowledge management
-New careers in special libraries
-Advocacy for special libraries
-Negotiation skills
We also strongly encourage students to propose a session! There will be dedicated time during the event to hear from students about their work.
