The call for proposals is now open for the free 2025 Library Instruction Together (LIT) meeting. The meeting will take as a Retreat in Nashville, Tennessee, on Friday, June 13. There will also be a virtual Conference day via Zoom on Wednesday, June 18. This year’s theme is “A Seat at All Tables”.
Library Instruction Together is responding to feedback from our last Retreat. What you want is that we all share more space, ideas, and networks. And isn’t that what LIT is all about? To that end, we are going to do things differently at this year’s Retreat. We will be in one big room, listening, talking, learning, and playing together, with opportunities to break out and branch off, but always coming back together. To that end, we are explicitly looking for proposals that emphasize active sessions, roundtables, and conversations. When considering your submission for the in-person, think about how you can plan for 75-minute active sessions or an Idea or Networking Roundtable.
For your proposals to the virtual Conference: standard, lecture-style presentations (50-55 minutes, including Q&A) will remain the applicable format.
In addition to proposals tied to the theme, LIT 2025 also welcomes submissions that are relevant to library instruction more broadly. Please share with colleagues, we would love to see proposals from everyone for the Conference and the Retreat!
Please submit your proposals here. The deadline is Friday, March 21.
