Join us at the first-ever Association for Information Science & Technology (ASIS&T) Midwest Chapter Spring Symposium online Friday, April 26!
We are currently accepting session proposals for this exciting new event. Sessions can be presented in either a five-minute (lightning) or fifteen-minute format.
Unlike many conferences and events these days, this event has NO set theme. Proposals related to any topic in library and information science – ranging from librarianship, archival studies, digital humanities, informatics, data science, and beyond – are welcome!
Submissions from master’s and doctoral students and practitioners are particularly encouraged, as well as proposals from LIS faculty. Prizes for top student submissions are provided (amount to be based on number of submissions). All ASIS&T Midwest Chapter members may participate as presenters. All submissions will undergo light peer review by members of the Midwest Chapter board to ensure quality and alignment with the discipline of library and information science.
All presentations will be held via Zoom in a synchronous format. Sessions may be recorded and shared on the Midwest Chapter’s YouTube channel or iConnect, or both. All presenters will be recognized on the chapter’s website. All ASIS&T members may attend the event at no cost!
Proposals will be accepted from now until Sunday, March 17. Decisions on accepted proposals will be announced by Friday, April 5.
Submit your proposal here: Submission Form.
We look forward to seeing you at the event!
