Dear Faculty & Staff:
On October 18, 2019, you are invited to participate in the inaugural Chicago Research Summit, a one-day conference that will bring together educators and community partners to explore how institutions of higher education connect students to the rich array of culture and resources in Chicago. The summit offers an environment in which you can explore how to introduce undergraduate students to research based on the complex issues associated with contemporary urban spaces, specifically in Chicago.
The goal of the Chicago Research Summit is to promote civic engagement by fostering greater collaboration between educational and cultural institutions in and near Chicago. To support this work, consider two action steps:
1) Review our call for proposals and identify people, research, and projects affiliated with your campus that might inform or inspire others to engage with Chicago area resources.
2) Register for Chicago Research Summit and invite a colleague to join you in exploring how Chicago-based pedagogy, research, and resources can impact higher education and communities across our region.
