The IS Current Issues Virtual Discussion Forum is an opportunity for an individual or group of instruction librarians to explore and discuss a topic related to library instruction and information literacy. This completely virtual discussion happens in advance of the 2019 ALA Midwinter Meeting on Thursday, January 17 at 2PM EST/11AM PST.
What do you wish librarians were talking about in library instruction and information literacy? You can help make that conversation happen! The steering committee welcomes proposals from librarians interested in convening this discussion on a topic of their choosing – we take care of the technology logistics and you take care of the interactive presentation and discussion questions!
The committee welcomes proposals on any topic, but Instruction Section members have specifically expressed interest in the following: active learning across different learning environments, information literacy across different learning environments, critical pedagogy/instruction/librarianship, curriculum mapping, creating relationships across campus, assessment, visual literacy, etc.
If you would like to share your knowledge, help your peers learn from one another, and spark a lively conversation, submit a proposal to lead the IS Current Issues Virtual Discussion Forum today:
