The New York/New Jersey Chapter of the Medical Library Association is seeking proposals for lightning talks at its upcoming annual meeting. The meeting will be held Wednesday, October 24 at the SUNY College of Optometry <https://www.suny.edu/campuses/optometry/> in midtown Manhattan. This year’s theme is *Eyes on Us*. More meeting details will be forthcoming. The lightning talks will each last five minutes.
Proposals for lightning talks should use a structured abstract format using the MLA Research Section format: http://www.mlanet.org/p/cm/ld/fid=517. Each presentation proposal should include two documents. The first abstract document should include information on presenters–names, institutional affiliations, and email addresses. The second abstract document should be blinded, with no author or institutional information.
Proposals will be evaluated on originality, innovation, organization, and clarity.
The deadline for submitting abstracts is Friday, August 31. Authors will be notified of acceptance no later than Friday, September 21. If accepted, the deadline for submitting final, revised abstracts will be due by Wednesday, October 3.
Proposals should be submitted to eyesonus18@gmail.com.
