RUSA invites experienced librarians and subject matter experts to submit proposals for webinars and online courses to be added to RUSA’s online learning offerings. We particularly encourage submissions that address innovative services and trends, emerging technologies, management and leadership or, staff-training in following topic areas for all libraries: public, school, special and academic:
- Reference services
- User instruction
- Assessment of services
- Collection development
- Resource discovery and usability
- Resource sharing/ILL
- Hot or trending topics
Proposals will be accepted through April, 2018. Webinars and online courses approved for presentation will be offered between May 1, 2018 and August 31, 2019. Webinar presenters and online learning instructors are compensated for their work and will receive training and support for Adobe Connect, the webinar technology platform used by the division, and Moodle, the online tool used for courses.

The Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) is a division of the American Library Association. RUSA serves all types of libraries in reference, user services, adult readers advisory and collection development as well as resource sharing, genealogy and archives, business reference and reference technology. RUSA has six specialty sections that are free to RUSA members: BRASS (Business Reference and Services Section), CODES (Collection Development and Evaluation Section) HS (History Section), ETS (Emerging Technologies Section), RSS (Reference Services Section) and STARS (Sharing and Transforming Access to Resources Section).
