The SLA (Special Libraries Association) Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, and St. Louis communities invite you to share your knowledge and experiences! Take part in an exciting annual virtual event featuring colleagues from around the Midwest. This year’s theme is the Transformation of Librarianship. SLA membership is not required to submit, but topics should relate to special librarianship.
The 2022 SLA Midwest Symposium will take place on Friday, June 10, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM CDT. You are invited to propose one (or both) of the following.
- lightning talk (super-focused 10 minute talk on your topic)
- education session (30-60 min)
Presenters who have recently begun or completed a project or initiative, published an article or blog post, or shifted their career in some way are especially encouraged to submit a proposal. Students are also invited to submit.
Proposals are due Monday, May 9. To submit a proposal, please go here. Presenters will be notified by Friday, May 13.
