I hope that you’ve had a bit of time to consider volunteering on one of the Subcommittees for the 2024 Midwest Annual Conference. This year’s Conference will take place virtually in the fall. Please check the Midwest/MLA website for more information as it becomes available.
Please fill out this form. Here are the Committees, their lead (if relevant), and for how many people we’re looking.
The individual Subcommittee opportunities are:
- Exhibits (1 – work with vendors; Merle Rosenzweig, Subcommittee chair)
- Publicity (4-5 – publicize the Conference within and outside of the Chapter)
- Registration (2 – plan and monitor process)
- Technology (2 – work with Zoom and OSF–or other tools–for the Conference and for posters)
- Website (2 – with assistance from the Communications liaison, keep the Conference website updated)
If you’d like to volunteer, but can’t access Google Forms, please let me (cshannon@umich.edu) and Jolene (jolene.miller@utoledo.edu) know. In addition to your name and work e-mail address, we’ll need the best address for you to access Google Docs, along with the Committees on which you’d like to work (remember, we try to place you where you’d like to go, but can’t always accommodate everyone), and whether or not you’d be willing to be a Subcommittee Co-Chair.
