This is a reminder that the Health Science Librarians of Illinois Annual Conference will take place virtually from Wednesday, October 23, to Friday, October 25. HSLI is seeking proposals for both lightning talks and poster presentations. The submission deadline is fast approaching, on Sunday, September 1.
We welcome posters or lightning talks on any area of librarianship. Incorporating this year’s Conference theme, “Grow Where You Are Planted: Growing Stronger Together”, is appreciated but not required. We accept content presented at other conferences and encourage student submissions. Posters and lightning talks will be in electronic format only, and each presenter will have 5-10 minutes to speak.
For either submission type, presenting author(s) must register for the Conference and be available virtually to present (exact date and time TBD).
Please submit abstracts to Frances Drone-Silvers, at frances.drone-silvers@carle.com, or Carmen Howard, at choward4@uic.edu. The deadline for submissions is Sunday September 1. Submitters will receive notification of acceptance no later than Sunday, September 15. Posters or lightning-talk slides for accepted sessions are then due on Tuesday, October 15.
Details about the Conference, along with further instructions for submitting an abstract, can be found here.
