This year we’re planning a free, full-day online conference using the web conferencing tool Zoom. The Free-Learning Conference 2018 #FLCon18 will be a day of exploration designed to promote and evaluate effective uses of technology for teaching and learning while also providing opportunities to network with others in the field of higher education.
This year, we’re taking the conference online for virtual delivery via Zoom and recording sessions to be made available after the conference. This change with allow a broader range of presenters and participants beyond those who could attend in person. Registration for the one day event is free!
Sessions and Themes
The conference sessions have focused on themes concerning distance learning, using Moodle and/or other LMS platforms, emerging technologies, social media, and tools for effective teaching and learning with technology. This conference will present an opportunity for collaboration and learning among faculty, instructional technologists, and IT administrators in our area.
Zoom Meetings
Our online sessions will be powered by the Zoom web conferencing platform. You can participate in Zoom meetings from PC, Macs or Linux. In addition, free Zoom apps are available for both iOS and Andriod devices in the iTunes and Google Play Stores.
