We are seeking to fill vacancies on the Awards Committee and the Best Practices Committee.
The Awards Committee administers the awards and recognition program of the association annually; publicizes the awards to attract qualified nominees; selects association-wide award winners.
The Best Practices Committee promotes excellence in the Illinois library community by identifying and amplifying innovative services, community outreach initiatives, and management procedures both for the association and for the profession as a whole. Seeks out best practices for emerging trends and issues in the profession by surveying current practices in the library community, recommending best practices for diverse sizes and types of libraries, and sharing these practices with the library community through relevant communication channels.
The opportunity to serve on an ILA committee is a benefit of ILA membership; committee members are required to maintain personal membership in the association during their term of service.
