The Medical Library Association’s Collection Development Caucus will be starting the new year with an informal discussion on “Keeping Up with New Health Sciences Resources”! Join us on Tuesday, January 23, at 1:00 PM CDT via this Zoom link. No registration is necessary.
The discussion will be facilitated by Iris Kovar-Gough, Liaison Librarian to the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University. Attendees will be asked to share their tips on the following:
- Email lists and online resources that are useful for learning about new products
- Are slips still useful?
- How to manage a deluge of marketing emails
- Effective ways to learn about new resources at conferences
Please feel free to bring your own questions, also! Non-MLA members are welcome to attend and participate in the discussion.
The session will not be recorded to encourage open discussion. Any resources discussed during this session will be shared with the MLA Collection Development Caucus afterward.
We look forward to learning from our colleagues and hope you can make it!
