The team from the IMLS-funded National Forum on Web Privacy and Web Analytics is excited to share two new documents:
- a White Paper: A report that summarizes project activities and articulates a roadmap for enhancing our analytics practice in support of privacy (http://dx.doi.org/10.15788/20190416.15445)
- an Action Handbook: Provides resources and good practices to guide libraries in implementing privacy-focused web analytics (http://dx.doi.org/10.15788/20190416.15446)
These documents represent the culmination of a year-long, community-based effort to shape a better analytics practice that protects our users’ privacy from unwanted third-party tracking and targeting. By pointing to a better analytics practice, the White Paper and the Action Handbook support privacy action in both academic and practitioner settings.
We invite you to read, download, share, and apply the ideas and skills represented in the documents.
