RAILS has awarded three multitype collaborative grants<https://railslibraries.us1.list-manage.com/track/click?u=2c51285b8d63e23716bce030f&id=9de5c40966&e=be063b278e>, which encourage member libraries of different types to work together on collaborative projects. Awardees are:
* Eureka Public Library District and Congerville-Goodfield-Eureka CUSD 140 will work together to provide “Book Bundles” for public library patrons and elementary school classrooms to encourage young readers.
* Lisle Library District and Ann Reid Early Childhood Center are teaming up on “Families Together: Reading Enrichment for Social/Emotional Learning.” This project is designed to build social and emotional learning for both children and adults in an English language learning (ELL) setting.
* Prospect Heights Public Library District and Harper Community College will collaborate on a “Coding with Scratch” technology program designed to offer technology courses on coding and programming skills for children aged 5-12.
RAILS plans to expand our collaborative grants in FY2019 to include the possibility of working with additional partners in addition to libraries. Stay tuned for further details coming soon.
