The IDS Project’s 12th Annual Summer Conference is Thursday, July 28, and Friday, July 29, at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center. This year’s conference theme is “The Sharing Economy”, and approximately 250 attendees are expected. The IDS Conference is packed with information and training regarding exciting new technologies and strategies for information access, resource sharing, and acquisitions/collection development. All library staff are encouraged to attend, regardless of affiliation with the IDS Project.
On Wednesday, July 27th, we will be hosting two Pre-Conference Sessions concurrently with the All-Region User Group Meeting. The first session is on ILLiad webpages and will include modifying and enhancing your ILLiad webpages to work best for your library. Having IT experience will help though it isn’t required. The second session is on Creating Your Own IDS Logic Rule and it will be a hands-on workshop that will help you understand the basic ideas and configuration of Logic Rules and will allow you to create your own rule to run at your library.
Disclaimer: In order for Logic Rules to run, you must have Logic installed at your library and be a subscriber. Additionally, the rule you create must be installed by IDS Logic Support Staff.
