A reminder to register for the 2024 Great Lakes Science Boot Camp for Librarians! You don’t want to miss out! Located at the beautiful University of Toronto’s St George Campus in downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada, the meeting will take place from Wednesday, July 10, to Friday, July 12. This economical science conference offers librarians an opportunity to learn about current research advancements in science while immersing themselves in a collaborative environment. Whether you work with medical researchers, engineering undergrads, physicists looking for the next nanoparticle, or others, you’ll find something of interest at GLSBC 2024. Registration deadlines:
- Friday, May 17, is the deadline to register for the event plus 2 or 3 nights dorm accommodations. After this date you can register as a commuter and book your own hotel/accommodations.
- Friday, June 21, deadline for commuter registration
Reminder – Propose a Lightning Talk
Have a topic in science librarianship that you would like to give a 7-10 minute talk about? We are now taking submissions for 2024. Please contact Kristen Adams (adamsk3@miamioh.edu) if you have any questions about the lightning talks.
- Proposals are to be submitted by Friday, May 3, and you will be informed of acceptance by Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
- If accepted, you will present in-person at the University of Toronto.
