Please join us for the 2023 CARLI Annual Meeting, to be held Thursday, November 16, from 10:15 AM to 3:00 PM CDT at the I Hotel and Conference Center in Champaign.
We are excited to announce our keynote address: “Are ‘Lazy Girl Jobs’ the Future of Work, or a Silent Rebellion Against Productivity?” In her keynote presentation, Elaina Norlin will address both sides of this compelling topic. Norlin is the Professional Development Coordinator for the Association of Southeastern Research Libraries (ASERL). She is an accomplished teacher, technology and leadership development trainer, and writer with extensive leadership experience and a flair for public relations, organizational development, marketing and persuasion and communications. Author of three books, she has delivered over 100 workshops, training sessions, presentations, and institutes both nationally and internationally on marketing, web usability design, facilitation, strategic influence, and conflict management. Self-motivated and results oriented, she is well known for her ability to juggle many projects at once.
Staff at all CARLI member libraries are encouraged to attend. Registration is required. A continental breakfast and buffet lunch will be provided for all our guests.
The agenda and registration are available from the event page.
A meeting of the CARLI Governing Directors will precede the Annual Meeting from 9:00 to 10:00 AM CDT. Directors should also register for this meeting if they are planning to attend. A separate registration is required for each meeting. Continental breakfast preceding this meeting will be served starting at 8:30 a.m.
Space is limited. Registration for both meetings closes Thursday, November 7.
