The 2024 Southeast Data Librarian Symposium (SEDLS) will take place virtually from Monday, October 7, to Wednesday, October 9, on Zoom. Registration is now open!
SEDLS is open to all who wish to attend, including students, data managers, and data scientists. The conference is not limited to practitioners from the Southeastern United States. Check out our program for more information on this year’s presentation line up. SEDLS 2024 will feature a keynote by Dr. Michelle Hribar, a former NIH DATA Scholar. She will discuss opportunities for the reuse of electronic health record data for research both in operations and clinical applications. Past SEDLS conference materials can be found on our OSF page.
REGISTRATION: Register on Eventbrite
- General Registration – $20.00 (USD) + transaction fee (~$23.18 total)— includes access to attend all short talks and poster sessions. Short talk and poster presenters will not have to pay the general registration fee so anyone who submitted a proposal should use the presenter registration code sent in a separate email.
- Workshops – $5.00 (USD) per workshop + transaction fee — additional fee for each workshop selected (for example, general registration + 1 workshop = $28.52). There are two workshops available.
- SCHOLARSHIPS: We have scholarships covering the cost of general registration ($20.00 USD + transaction fee) available for attendees who otherwise would be unable to attend. To request a scholarship, send us an e-mail at se.datalibrarian@gmail.com (note: you don’t have to justify that need – we don’t need to know your personal circumstances).
- ACCESSIBILITY: We understand that videoconferencing is not optimized for universal design and accessibility. Please contact the conference organizers at se.datalibrarian@gmail.com as soon as possible if you anticipate wanting accessibility support, so that we can design an approach that fits as much of our community as possible.
