The Access Services Conference is scheduled for Tuesday, November 19, to Thursday, November 21, at the Global Learning and Conference Center in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia. This premier annual event offers access services librarians and professionals an ideal opportunity to network and connect with peers in their field. The 2024 program features sessions on topics curated specifically for this unique area of librarianship, including circulation, stacks management, student supervision, leadership, and more.
This year’s keynote speaker, Allen Jones, is the Director of Digital Library and Technical Services at The New School Library and Archives in New York City. His work focuses on different models of lending and library digital delivery channels. He is active withing the ISO 18626 editor’s subgroup, which recently outlined potential cases and applications for CDL lending and whole ebook lending between libraries. Allen also serves on the Steering Committee for the Ex Libris Users of North America (ELUNA) and on the Subject Matter Expert’s group (SMEs) for Project ReShare, an open-source interlibrary lending service based on the FOLIO library service platform.
