The ACRL Education and Behavioral Sciences Section (EBSS) invites you to join us for the virtual Discussions Forum “From Reflection to Action: Universal Design for Learning in Education Librarianship”. It will take place on Thursday, March 21, at 12:00 PM CDT.
Speakers:

Eric Silberberg, Assistant Professor, Librarian for Instructional Design and Education, Queens College, CUNY
This presentation explores how librarians can use Universal Design for Learning (UDL) to become more reflective on their lesson planning and delivery. We will start by translating UDL concepts to higher education context and discuss how it recognizes diverse learning styles and can address accessibility in physical and online instruction. We will explore a case study of a teacher action research project that incorporates UDL to support student engagement and develop “expert learners”. The session will conclude with a discussion, encouraging participants to share their reflections on how inclusivity is part of their lesson learning and delivery.
