Abstract
The University of Northern Colorado University Libraries didn’t let something like a pandemic get in its way of developing new mission, vision, and values statements as well as a three-year strategic plan! While trying to work on a strategic plan virtually added some challenges, it allowed us to meet on a regular basis and develop a new path for moving forward in alignment with our campus strategic plan. This inclusive process allowed for feedback from members of the Libraries as well as faculty, staff, and students from across campus. At the end of the nine-month process, we developed four priority areas, 16 goals, and 54 objectives.
Learning Outcomes
- how to create mission, vision, and values statements that serve as both representational and aspirational
- why incorporating feedback from across your stakeholders is crucial to success
- how working in a pandemic allowed us to focus on the future and step away from day-to-day issues
Advance registration is required for this meeting. To register, please go here.
