On Thursday, March 12, at 1:00 PM CDT, please join the monthly discussion hosted by the ACRL STS Information Literacy committee. This month Kelee Pacion, Biology Librarian at Princeton University Library will lead our discussion: Incorporating Wikipedia into the Sciences.
Discussion Description: In this chat, Kelee will share ideas about teaching a variety of classes on the topic of how to engage with and edit Wikipedia in the sciences. This includes working with the Wiki.Edu community, and teaching a credit bearing course on Applied Science Communication at Cornell University. The discussion will include how Kelee has transferred her idea to a new position at a Princeton University and talk about some of the issues she encountered on introducing this concept at both universities.
Before the discussion, Kelee asks that you familiarize yourself with the topic here. Please go here to register for the chat before the designated time. Test your technology compatibility with Zoom here.
