The ACRL Digital Scholarship Section (DSS) Research Data Management Discussion Group and the Professional Development Committee are pleased to host a webinar on “Using the World Health Organization (WHO) Guidance on Sharing and Re-Using Health Related Data in Research: A discussion with the lead author, Dr. Robert Terry”, on Friday, December 1, starting at 9:00 AM CDT.
Join us for an informative webinar with Dr. Robert Terry, the lead author of the World Health Organization’s (WHO) guidance on sharing and re-using health-related data in research. WHO issued guidance in April 2022 to clarify the policy and practice on the reuse and onward sharing for research purposes of health data collected under the auspices of WHO technical programmes. Dr. Terry will join us from Geneva, Switzerland to discuss the importance of data sharing in global health research and provide insights into the WHO guidelines. We will discuss best practices, resources, and strategies for librarians to support researchers in their data use and sharing efforts. The webinar includes a dedicated Q&A session for you to pose questions and share recommendations for effectively managing and utilizing data.
The program is free to attend! Register here. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. A program recording will be distributed to registrants after the conclusion of the session.
Questions may be directed to Jill Cofield (Jill.Cofield@suny.edu), DSS Research Data Management Discussion Group Co-Chair.
