We are excited to announce that registration for the 2019-2020 HEDS Research Practices Survey is now open: https://hedsconsortium.wufoo.com/forms/20192020-heds-research-practices-survey/
The HEDS Research Practices Survey assesses students’ research experiences and their skills in finding, evaluating, and citing sources. Faculty and librarians can use information from this survey to develop pedagogies and materials to advance students’ research skills.
You can administer the survey at the beginning of the fall term to identify incoming first-year students’ research skills and knowledge. You can also use a follow-up administration of the survey to track your students’ growth in research skills over time.
You can learn more about the survey and these administration options, as well as download a copy of the instrument at: https://www.hedsconsortium.org/heds-research-practices-survey/?utm_source=IACRL_listserv&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=RPS_Fall19&utm_content=M1
We also recommend sharing this information with other people on your campus who might be interested in the survey, such as instruction librarians or those teaching first-year programs.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions about the survey!
Best,
