Registration is open for the CARLI PDA (Professional Development Alliance) webinar “Providing Mental Health Information at Your Library”. It will take place on Thursday, September 12, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM CDT. Please see below for more information, including the link to registration.
Participants will learn about mental health facts, best practices for reference interviews, health information resources, and potential programs and services. This webinar will increase participants’ skills for providing mental health information to care providers and the public. National Library of Medicine (NLM) resources covered in this webinar include MedlinePlus, Drug Information Portal, other National Institutes of Health (NIH), and freely available authoritative resources.
The presenters are Stacey Hendren, Library Manager of the Northtown Branch in Anoka County, Minnesota; and Katherine V. Chew, Associate Librarian and Research/Outreach Liaison for the Health Sciences Library at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
