We are excited to announce that the Evidence-Based Practice for Health Sciences Librarians workshop will take place in Charleston, South Carolina, from Sunday, June 23, to Wednesday, June 26. This workshop is intended for health sciences librarians who want to learn basic EBP concepts to teach and support EBP comfortably at their institutions.
Learning Objectives
After completing the workshop, participants should be able to:
- Explain the importance and steps of evidence-based practice
- Develop focused, answerable clinical questions
- Identify appropriate background and foreground resources to find relevant evidence
- Describe different types of study designs and their strengths and limitations
- Critically appraise research studies
- Identify the role of the librarian in teaching, practicing, and supporting evidence-based practice
