Registration is now open for the 2016 Great Lakes Science Boot Camp. This year’s event will take place from Wednesday, July 13, to Friday, July 15, on the campus of the University of Notre Dame, in Notre Dame, IN. It is intended for both librarians and library school students who are interested in the latest research advances in science, particularly those related to public health and disease, small science, and the environment. Activities take an immersive format, with research facility tours and presentations by scientists, in addition to lightning talks and a keynote speaker. The goal of the conference is not just to educate attendees about the latest scientific advances and information resources, but to foster a community of academic and medical librarians who can offer research support to students and faculty in the sciences.
