Registration is now open for the 2020 ILA Virtual Conference (https://www.ila.org/events/annual-conference). The event will take place from Tuesday, October 20, to Thursday, October 22. Join the Illinois library community to network electronically, visit exhibits in a virtual marketplace, and experience an array of high-quality topics and content you’ve come to expect from ILA conferences. In addition, we will conclude the conference with our first ever virtual awards ceremony to celebrate and honor this year’s ILA Awards recipients.
Conference Highlights
TBS Opening General Session featuring Eric Klinenberg at Noon on October 20. Klinenberg is the Director of the Institute for Public Knowledge at New York University and a noted author of numerous titles including Palaces for the People: How Social Infrastructure Can Help Fight Inequality, Polarization. His scholarly work has been published in in journals including the American Sociological Review, Theory and Society, and Ethnography.]
President’s Program presented by Phyllis Viola Boyd and LaShawnda Crowe Storm at 12:30 PM on Wednesday, October 21. Phyllis Viola Boyd, is an artist and urban strategist, and LaShawnda Crowe Storm, is a community-based artist, community organizer and urban farmer. They are both community activists and social entrepreneurs, working to find creative solutions for the most pressing concerns in many of our communities.

Registration Information
Full conference registration includes access to all sessions, the virtual marketplace (exhibit hall) and attendee lounges. The virtual conference features live and taped sessions that will be available for viewing later.
* Attendees can register at the ILA Member rate if they have either a Personal Membership or work at a library that has an Institutional Membership. If you are not sure of your membership or members status, please email ila@ila.org.
All refund requests must be received in writing by October 12, 2020. No telephone cancellations/refund requests can be accepted. Please email refund requests to ila@ila.org. No refunds after October 12. All cancellations are subject to a $15 processing fee.
