It’s that time of year again–what time, you ask? Time for the ILA Library Legislative Meetups!
Libraries nationwide are not only battling threats to the right to read, but in some cases, fighting for their very existence. While we’re fortunate here in Illinois to have a Secretary of State who champions libraries and library workers, the profession still faces significant challenges.
We encourage you to be the voice of your community, library, and profession by registering today for an upcoming meetup!
This is your opportunity to speak directly with legislators, express your gratitude for their support of libraries, and advocate for the resources your library needs to continue and grow its essential services.
Library trustees, directors, and staff from public, school, and academic libraries are encouraged to attend and participate.
