The MIRL, or Medical Institutional Repositories in Libraries, planning committee is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the second annual free virtual event, scheduled to take place via WebEx on Thursday, November 17, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM CDT. Join us to hear keynote speaker Dr. Lisa Federer, Data Science and Open Science Librarian, Office of Strategic Initiatives, National Library of Medicine, on “The NIH Data Management and Sharing Policy: Roles and Opportunities for Libraries and Institutional Repositories.” The program will continue with presentations by our colleagues, and time will be left for questions for the speakers.
To register, please go here. MIRL is a platform-neutral conference for IR practitioners and those with an interest in IRs at hospitals, academic medical centers, and other health settings to discuss and share case studies and best practices for digital archiving of institutional content.
Please direct any questions to Steven Moore, Librarian at Henry Ford Health, at smoore31@hfhs.org. Check the MIRL website for more information about the meeting itself. By registering for MIRL, you are agreeing to abide by the MIRL 2022 Code of Conduct.
