Registration is open for the MLA webinar “ChatGPT and Beyond: Strategies for Effective AI Communication”. It will take place on Thursday, May 2, from 1:00 to 2:30 PM CDT. Please see below for more details, including the link to registration.
Are you wondering what ChatGPT and other generative AI technologies can do for you in your work as a health information professional? In this webinar, you’ll not only learn what AI tools can do for you, you’ll learn how to communicate with them to help you work more effectively and efficiently. By learning how to interact effectively with AI, you can enhance your value in your institution, keep up with the rapidly evolving field of AI in librarianship, and explore innovative ways to apply AI tools to information services.
Leo Lo, who has published on prompt engineering and AI policies and librarianship and is the creator of the CLEAR framework for prompt engineering, will introduce you to the new world of AI interactions, focusing on Large Language Model tools, such as ChatGPT. He’ll also share guidance on addressing inaccuracies, biases, and diversity considerations in AI-generated interactions and outputs.
The heart of the webinar is training in the CLEAR (Concise, Logical, Explicit, Adaptive, Reflective) framework for writing precise prompts that elicit the information you want from AI tools. You’ll gain this practical skill from hands-on exercises and real-life scenarios.
You’ll leave the webinar with new ideas on how you can use AI tools, skill in effectively interacting with ChatGPT and other AI tools, and practical strategies for integrating AI into your daily medical library practices.
This webinar is worth 1.5 hours of MLA CE credit.
