Please join us for the ACRL Science and Technology Section’s next College Science Librarians Virtual Discussion on Tuesday, April 23, at 1:00 PM CDT. Hear what is happening with colleagues from far and wide and share strategies that have worked for you in the ever-changing STEM librarianship space. This event will not be recorded.
Our theme for April is “Professional Advancement in the STEM Librarian’s Career-Path”! Please join us for discussion in breakout rooms about:
- Tenure/review process support – support and advice re: what this process can look like across different institutions
- Communicating what we do – how to communicate what we do as STEM librarians, both to other librarians and to folks outside the library
- Conference suggestions and resources for different subject/functional areas
- Job searching advice/ search committee advice
- Networking room – find collaborators for writing and/or research projects; find mentorship connections; if your institution is hiring, come talk up your opening!
- New/early career science librarians (or those new to science liaisonship roles) & LIS students – an ever-popular room!
Register for the Virtual Discussion here.
