Please join us for the next LIS Pedagogy Chat, “Equitable Access for Blind, Visually Impaired, and Print Disabled (BVIPD) Students”. It will take place on Friday, March 22, at 1:00 PM CDT.
BVIPD students often experience inequitable access to information, including delays in receiving course content that is otherwise more readily available to non-BVIPD students. The moderators (Clayton Copeland, Dick Kawooya, and Eric Robinson, all of the University of South Carolina) will share their research and lead a discussion on ways in which librarians, instructors, Disability Service Offices, and BVIPD students can work together to maximize access to accessible content.
