Region 4 of the Network of the National Library of Medicine invites you to join us for our free webinar coming up next month.
- Topic: Finding Rural Health Information with RHIhub
- Date & Time: Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 2:00 PM CDT
- Description: Health disparities for rural residents compared to the overall population are well documented. Rural residents have higher incidence of disease and/or disability, higher mortality rates, lower life expectancies, and higher rates of chronic pain. Reasons for these disparities are complex and varied. The Rural Health Information Hub (RHIhub) is committed to supporting healthcare and population health in rural communities by providing access to current and reliable resources as well as tools to help the you learn about rural health needs and address them. This webinar will highlight the mission of RHIhub and provide an in-depth look at the variety of information available through the RHIhub website. The presentation will include discussion of common rural health risk factors and how to find the data, best practices, funding, tools, and more to address those risk factors. Participants will get hands on experience navigating and using RHIhub resources as well as learn how to connect with RHIhub through multiple platforms for continued rural health educational development.
