Registration is open for the NNLM webinar ” A Guide to Getting Started in Research and Publishing”. It will take place on Wednesday, November 13, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM CDT. Please see below for more information, including the link to registration.
This webinar is designed to give new professionals a look at how to approach publishing and research as new librarians, faculty, and professionals. Starting with idea formation and running through finding collaborators, submitting to the IRB, submitting the first manuscript, rewrites and more. Presenter Dr. Blake will break down the writing, research and publication processes into steps designed to help new or accomplished professionals to more easily move through each area.
Objectives:
- Create a list of ideas for possible publications and collaborators.
- Discuss how to approach different types of writing.
- Explore when to submit an exempt, expedited, or full IRB application.
The instructor, Lindsay Blake, EdD, MLIS, AHIP, is the Clinical Services Coordinator and a Professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, Arkansas.
This class is worth 1.00 hour of MLA CE Credit. The class levels are “Beginner” and “Intermediate”. Region 3 is the sponsor.
