Registration is open for the NNLM webinar “Getting Started using PolicyMap”. It will take place on Tuesday, June 11, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM CDT. Please see below for more information, including the link to registration.
As PolicyMap is included in the Public Health Digital Library collection this session will cover basic processes for using PolicyMap and creating maps with the thousands of data indicators available from PolicyMap.
Objectives
This session will cover:
- Navigating the user interface to search data indicators and develop maps based on geographic areas including editing ranges, changing criteria, and customizing colors, to show specific information
- Creating maps with custom boundaries and/or regions
- Finding and highlighting specific data sets
- Creating multi-layer maps to overlay up to 5 layers of data
- Accessing reports, tables
- Seeing the data loader in action via a user story
- Downloading data from PolicyMap that you have created
- Pulling data sets from PolicyMap without looking at them
Dr. Jazmyne McNeese, Senior Data Analyst at PolicyMap, will present. There will be time for questions and answers following the presentation portion of the session.
