Registration is open for the NNLM webinar “Providing Mental Health Resources at Your Library”. It will take place on Tuesday, April 9, from 2:00 to 3:00 PM CDT. Please see below for more information, including the link to registration.
This webinar will discuss how to respond effectively to requests for mental health information at your library. Sites that we’ll explore include MedlinePlus, DailyMed, the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health, the National Institute of Mental Health, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), MentalHealth.gov, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the World Health Organization.
During the webinar, we’ll cover the following topics.
- a few mental health stats and definitions
- tips for reference interactions
- reliable information resources
- ideas for programs around mental health.
The webinar is worth 1.00 hour of CHIS Level 1 CE credit at the Beginner and Intermediate levels. This is a National NNLM class.
