Registration is open for the NNLM webinar “Specialized Bioinformatics and Data Management in Medical Libraries”. It will take place on Friday, October 4, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM CDT. Please see below for more information, including the link to registration.
In this one-hour webinar, guest speakers discuss the development of specialized bioinformatics and data management services in medical libraries.
Presenters
Dr. Ansuman Chattopadhyay, University of Pittsburgh, will outline the evolution of the Molecular Biology Information Service at the University of Pittsburgh over the past two decades and discuss its impact on supporting biomedical research at the university, demonstrating the valuable role HSLS plays in bioinformatics and data management.
Maze Ndukum, Washington University in St. Louis, will discuss how Becker Library provides training and consultation services that introduce researchers to informatics concepts and tools. These efforts reduce barriers, increase accessibility to essential resources, and prepare researchers for ongoing learning, helping them accomplish their academic and research goals.
Dr. Manuel de la Cruz Gutierrez, University of Pennsylvania, will present on the bioinformatics, data management, and data visualization services his organization provides to its communities, and the impact those services have on Penn’s teaching, research, learning activities, and clinical practice.
This class does not carry CE credit. It is a National NNLM class.
